Well, I took myself to see the movie today because...I wanted to lol. I was going to see it with
Starhorse, but she couldn't get a car and my car has been acting up, so we'll just have to hang out on a different day.
BUT ANYWAY.
I really enjoyed the movie a lot! There were a few things that kinda bugged, but for the most part it was very well done. There were a lot of changes made to the structure of the story but, as my friend said, I am used to the differences between the Harry Potter movies and books, so this really didn't bother me. I mean c'mon, they HAVE to make changes in order for it to work as a movie. So overall, I thought they did a good job.
I LOVED EDMUND. As a character, he's just matured and I loved him. He was my favorite. Peter got a little annoying, but he kinda had to be to show his growth, so I guess its ok in the end. I found him rather attractive though LOLZ. Moreso that Caspian. Lucy was an ok character? Cute...but...I dunno. And I just wanted to punch Susan. For some reason she really bugs. She COULD be such a cool character, but always falls short. Though her skill with the bow is awesome. And she's got great pouty lips. Im jealous. XD And Caspian was cool. I can see why people find him attractive but he's not my type...hahah!
AND WTF?! WHY DO ALL THE GRIFFINS HAVE TO DIE EH?! Why don't they ever do sneak attacks from BEHIND so they can avoid all the arrows and spears being shot at 'em?! I MEAN C'MON. Though I found it pretty cool when they carried everyone to the castle for their raid, I was peeved they didn't help with the fighting. Again. Griffins are so much cooler than that. THEY DESERVE MORE SCREENTIME. I mean WHY spend all that time on the modeling/rigging/texturing/animation only to have really dark shots of them at night where the true beauty of them can hardly be appreciated or short shots of them being murdered mid-air. SHOW THEM IN ALL THEIR WONDER. SHOW OFF YOUR TALENTS BY GOLLY!!!! Ok. My griffin rant is done. I loved them to bits but they definitely needed more love than they received.
I thought the effects were really well done too. ASLAN was gorgeous. My goodness he was. It was really fun to watch. I loved the centaurs and the fauns and the minotaurs too. I really did! Especially the centaurs. The part when half the Narnian army gets trapped behind the gate and the daddy centaur had to say goodbye to his son made me wanna CRY OMG that was so sad. I wanted the griffins to fly down and tear all those mean Telmarines to shreds! -sigh- That was heart-wrenching all right.
Overall I enjoyed the movie immensely. I actually didn't regret having re-read the book right before seeing the movie. If anything, it made me enjoy it all the more. I'd go see it again. And if you haven't seen it, and you're a Narnia fan, GET OFF YOUR FANNY AND PLANT IT IN A THEATER SEAT AND SEE IT GOSH DARN YOU.
Devious Comments
I agree with the griffin thing D; In the first one, they didn't have much either, except getting turned to stone a lot.
... Hmm I should reread that book now. xD
Edmund made me crack up. xDDDD The actor who plays him (I'm horrid with names. Oh well.) always did a great job.
I FEEL YOU ON THE GRIFFINS. WHY? ;w;
Aslan is amazing.
Did you like that random bear that just popped up in the middle of the cave all "FOR ASLAN 8D"?
He was SO RANDOM. xD

The griffins and the baby centaur were my favorites.
The romance killed it. I'm not one for romance at all.
I accidentally went into the Iron Man theater on my way back from the bathroom.
